Studio 48 History Videos

Studio 48 LLC. was establish  in September of 2001 by Dallas Rose Draper and her husband Jake Draper in  the basement of there Hooper home.

After extensive training and experience teaching, Dallas wanted to bring her knowledge together. She wanted to present it in a way that would be fun, exciting and uplifting to young dancers. Dallas knew that the art of dance is much more than moving to the beat of music, it builds self-esteem and creates a confidence and builds self-worth in a dancer. Dancing, cheering, and tumbling with Studio 48 gives children important tools such as commitment, teamwork, and the social skills needed to succeed in various aspects of life. This is done in a positive fun-filled, disciplined environment.

Dallas originally taught all the classes herself. After 2 years she decided she needed a little help and hired some fantastic assistants. In 2004, after the birth of her first daughter she needed to spend more time with her baby. Her assistants became teachers and she hired additional assistants.

In 2006, after 5 years, and additional growth, Studio 48 realized that the basement simply wasn't adequate. We decided to open it's new location in Roy, UT. This is located in the Kent's Market Plaza. This opened in September 2006. After construction started, but before opening, we realized we needed more room, Phase II was quickly added and opened in October of 2006

Studio 48 has been blessed with very talented teachers and wonderfully dedicated students and families. Since 2006, we have added a total of 3 expansions, including Studio 2, which is located on the west end of the plaza, next to Big Scoops Ice Cream and Cal-Cuts. This extra large room is perfect for our tumbling and competition teams

Jake Draper, Dallas' husband, runs the office and business end of the studio. Jake was a 2 time Utah High School Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and in 2000 was named the National Collegiate Entrepreneaur of the Year while a student at Weber State Univeristy studying Business Adminstration with a Marketing Emphasis.

Jake takes care of our accounts, purchasing and building. Jake also runs Diamond J Tile & Construction. Since 1992 Jake has been involved in running businesses. Along with the best team of Dance Dad's ANYWHERE, they build ANYTHING that Dallas and her fantastic teachers dream up.
